Teaching Experience 📝

In sixth form, I started my own tutoring service in order to gain some experience while studying my A-Levels. The subjects I tutored were French, Maths and Sciences at GCSE level, as well as Biology at A-Level. In this role, I was able to exhibit strong organisational skills and to gain a familiarity with students and their learning style so that they can get the most out of the sessions.

Later on, I went on to work at Explore Learning for just under a year as an English and Maths tutor for children between the ages of 4 and 14. This role was both in person, with a group of about six children at once, and online, which was 1:1, 1:3 or small class tutoring.

I have experience working for the Medic Portal as a mock MMI examiner and my current job as a Student Ambassador at the University of Sheffield means I have been involved with open days, widening participation sessions, presentations and offer holder days. I have also been involved in creating materials and teaching sessions as part of a summer UCAT course that the university runs, presenting to and running workshops for sixth form students at "Discover Healthcare" days, being part of university promotional videos as well as giving speeches to large numbers of people at one time.
