Payment π·
How does payment work?
β’ Payments with MediBrain cannot be simpler! When creating your parent account on our
system, you will be requested to input your bank details into our secure system.
β
β’ Our payment system is powered by Stripe, an internationally recognised safe and secure payment system.
β
β’ Payments happen in arrears, every Monday, you will receive an invoice for your previous
week's worth of lessons. Please review this invoice as automatic payment will be taken
from your account 24hours after the invoice has been issued.
β
β’ For more information, please check the payments section of your client contract which
will have been emailed to you.
β
β’ Here is a link to a video explaining how to set up payments.
Will I receive a receipt?
β’ Yes you will! You will receive an invoice every Monday for the previous week's tutoring
sessions. Automatic payment is then taken from your account 24 hours after this
payment has been issued.
β
β’ Once successful payment has been made, you will automatically be emailed a receipt.
β
β’ Alternatively, you can view all of your invoices and receipts by logging onto your parent
account.
How do I input my bank details on the system for payments?
β’ This is really simple! Simply log onto your parent account via our website and add your
card details to the 'Payment Details' section of the homepage.
β
β’ This will have been explained during your onboarding process.
β

Free Online Trial Session π
How does the online free trial work?
β’ All students are entitled to have a free trial lesson to have an introduction of the tutor and an introduction on the way of teaching and get to know you as a tutee more.
β
β’ We'll take care of scheduling your lesson with your new tutor on our end. When the time
comes for your session, a convenient link will arrive in your email, along with a user- friendly button to join the online session. It couldn't be simpler!
β
β’ Typically, you'll receive this link approximately 1-2 hour before your session. A friendly tip: check your spam folder if you don't see it in your inbox!
β
β’ For a smooth experience, we recommend using Google Chrome instead of Safari when
joining our state-of-the-art online whiteboard. It works much more seamlessly on Google
Chrome.
What if I need to reschedule the trial ?
β’ That is completely fine! Simply let us know so we can reschedule your free trial session!
What happens after the trial request?
β’ After the trial request, we will put you in a WhatsApp group chat with the parent, student, tutor and one of our admin members to watch over and make sure everything is running smoothly.
β
β’ This is the best way to contact us and your tutor!

How am I assigned a tutor?
β’ During your initial consultation with us, we will find out what is most important to you
when it comes to having a tutor!
β
β’ We will then recommend you some of the tutors we think will be best suited to your
learning style, which you can then have a free trial lesson with!
β
β’ Alternatively, if you come across a tutor on our website that you like, we can also assign
you to them directly!
How good are your tutors
β’ Our tutors are EXCELLENT. We have a rigorous 5 step application pathway, meaning we
only work with the best of the best! All of our tutors have been rigorously vetted to make
sure that they can help you achieve your goals. Here are some of the important aspects
to know about:

How can I quickly can I get a tutor
We work quickly! We often assign you a tutor within 24 hours of your initial free
consultation with you.
What if I donβt like my tutor?
β’ This is completely fine! Sometimes, a student-tutor match does not always work out and we appreciate that may happen!
β
β’ We are always happy to reassign you to a new tutor who may be able to better meet your needs.
Booking and Cancelling lessons π²
How do I book a lesson
β’ During your initial consultation, we will talk about how many hours of tutoring per week
you would like, and we make a personalised study schedule around that for you and your
tutor to follow if you wish!

β’ The first trial lesson we will organise for you via our online system
β
β’ It is then recommended that you set up a weekly recurring time for your lessons to take
place with your tutor, we find that this usually yields the best results!- You don't need to
do anything, the tutor will input it into the system on their end.
β
β’ If you would like an extra one off lesson during the week to supplement extra learning for an upcoming exam, or for homework help for example, this can be organised with the
admin team and your tutor via your WhatsApp group chat.
What is the recommended number of tutoring lesson I need?
β’ There is no set contract or obligation to do a set number of lessons! It really is pay as you go!
β
β’ However, for best results we recommend weekly regular lessons with your tutor, this will allow us to best plan ahead and create a long term study plan to help you achieve the
best grades in your exams
Where do the lessons take place?
β’ Lessons take place online on our state of the art online whiteboard - you will receive a link to join the lesson/whiteboard space 1 hour before the session starts.
β
β’ If you would like to have a go on the whiteboard before your lesson, simply click
'MediBrain's Test Whiteboard' on vour profile!
What is the cancellation policy?
β’ Each of our tutors operate their own specific cancellation policy and they should let you
know before your first session with them.
β
β’ However, most tutors follow our 24 hour cancellation policy
β
β’ If you must cancel a lesson, please let us and your tutor know via the WhatsApp
group chat 24 hours beforehand.
β
β’ If you cancel with less than 24 hours or if you no show, you may still be charged for
your lesson.
