About Me 🚀
I am a third year medical student at QUB, with a passion for teaching.
In fact, this passion is so great that I almost went into teaching before deciding to pursue a career in medicine!
Breaking down concepts into smaller more mentally digestible chunks and piecing them together to gain a full understanding is a process by which I gain great satisfaction.
This process is thus one of the several strategies I strive to use to help my students achieve their academic goals. Outside of clinical medicine, I am a huge language lover!
The process of learning never ends with the pursuit of modern foreign languages, so my desire to learn more really isn't too much of a shock! I also am a dedicated collector of comic books in several formats, and a self proclaimed "adrenaline junkie" who loves jumping from high heights into the sea and large lakes!
Teaching Experience 📝
A Level Mathematics
I have experience in teaching pure mathematics and mechanics at AS and A Level, specifically working with past papers from AQA. This involved breaking down each problem to help guide my student to the solution, in a welcoming, constructive and effective manner.
Medical School Interview Coaching
I have experience helping students get into medical school. This involved me creating mock MMI questions, and running online mock MMI circuits. After doing so, I gave detailed valuable feedback to my student and they ended up getting a place at medical school.
Personal Statement Coaching
I have experience in reviewing and helping students with the structure and content of their personal statement. In doing so, I look over the work of the student, analyse the strengths and weaknesses and try to get the best out of the student each time I do this.All my of students have raised their grade in the final examinations after my help. I have not had a student fail to enter medical school after helping them.
