Tutoring style 📝

In my lessons, I adopt a student-centered approach, ensuring that my students gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenging concepts being taught. I have discovered that establishing a solid foundation of knowledge greatly assists my students in comprehending every aspect of the subject matter.

Moreover, I complement this strong base with techniques and advice on how to effectively apply this knowledge to exam questions, guaranteeing excellent A/A* grades.

I firmly believe that learning and succeeding in exams involve three key stages: understanding, memorisation, and application.

In my teaching, I employ this framework to ensure that my students are fully prepared to tackle any exam question. Additionally, I emphasize the use of scientifically proven study methods, such as active recall and spaced repetition, which have aided me in achieving straight As at both GCSE and A level, as well as a position in the top decile of my medical school class.

During a typical lesson, I begin by assessing the student's existing knowledge base through targeted questions. This allows me to tailor the lesson plan accordingly, addressing any gaps and answering questions as we progress.

I conclude the lesson by providing example questions that further apply and reinforce the covered concepts.I always strive to go above and beyond for my students, ensuring that they surpass their target grades and achieve exceptional results!
